The 2022 Summer Camp Scholarship Essay Contest is open to our entire Pan-Orthodox Community entering grades 6-12. Two Camp scholarship rebate coupons will be awarded in memory of Presvytera Mary Coniaris and James H. Zubulake. Camp registration fees will be rebated to two contest winners following Summer Camp. If you have received a scholarship from your parish, you may still compete. If you win the scholarship, your prize will be applied to the scholarship account of your home parish and your great work will allow a young person in your parish to experience camp next year!

This year’s essay topic:
In a world that encourages us to always, “just do what feels good”, how do I keep my Focus on Christ and the way He wants me to live my life? Include reflections on your experiences from attending St. Mary’s Camp or the activities that you are involved in through your church.

There will be two divisions:
Middle School Division – open to campers entering grades 6-8 this Fall, 2022. Contestants are required to submit a 250-word (typed) essay on the topic listed above.
High School Division – open to campers entering grades 9-12 this Fall, 2022. Contestants are required to submit a 500- word (typed) essay on the topic listed above.

All entries must remain as close to the word limits (250 or 500) as possible.

ENTRIES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN SUNDAY JUNE 1, 2022.
